EU Added the Requirement of Formaldehyde of Toy Safety Directive

On 20 November 2019, the European Commission has published Commission Directive (EU) 2019/1929 to amend Appendix C to Annex II to Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC, which aimed to add the limit values for formaldehyde used in toys intended for use by children 36 months or in other toys intended to be placed in the mouth:

This Directive shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union. Members states shall apply the provisions from 21 May 2021.
