On June 27, 2025, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched a public consultation on a potential substance of very high concern (SVHC). The consultation deadline is August 11, 2025. During this period, all interested parties can submit their comments to ECHA. If this substance passes the public consultation, the list of SVHC substances will increase to 251 items.

■Common uses: Mainly used as a flame retardant, it is applied to the following products: adhesives and sealants, coating products, fillers, putty, gypsum, modeling clay, ink and colorants, leather treatment products, lubricants and greases, polishing agents and wax, polymers, cleaning and cleaning products, as well as cosmetics and personal care products.
