On June 16, 2025, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) announced that the Member State Committee (MSC) has agreed to add two new substances of very high concern (SVHC), along with another substance (Active Brown 51), to the candidate list later in June. If the process goes smoothly, the number of substances on the SVHC candidate list will reach 250.
