Service Overview:

As an EU Member State, France generally regulates food contact materials in accordance with the basic requirements of Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. In the absence of harmonized EU-specific measures for all materials, France has retained and established certain national requirements for the regulation of food contact materials. Among these, Décret n°2007-766 du 10 mai 2007 is one of the key national-level legal texts in the field of food contact materials, providing the link between the French consumer law framework and the regulation of relevant materials and articles. In addition, the Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) has issued various technical documents and guidance materials relating to food contact materials to support compliance assessment and official control practices for relevant materials. Based on applicable French food contact materials regulations, technical documents, and customer requirements, CTT provides regulatory interpretation, testing evaluation, and compliance support services, helping businesses identify applicable market requirements and carry out the corresponding conformity assessment.
