With the continuous improvement of food safety regulatory requirements, China has gradually established a relatively comprehensive national food safety standards system for food contact materials and articles. Following the consolidation, review, and ongoing revision of relevant standards, China’s food contact materials standards system now mainly consists of four categories: general standards, product standards, test method standards, and manufacturing practice standards. Among them, general standards set out general safety requirements and requirements for the use of additives; product standards specify requirements for food contact materials and articles of different material types or categories; test method standards support the testing of migration items and other relevant indicators; and manufacturing practice standards set out hygiene and safety control requirements for the production process. Based on the applicable Chinese standards for food contact materials, CTT provides compliance consulting and testing services for food contact materials, helping businesses identify applicable standard requirements, carry out testing and compliance assessment, and support the placing of products on the domestic market in China.
